Purely Puppy

Teaches: Bonding and Communication Skills, Best Behaviors, How to Prevent and Respond to Unwanted Behaviors, Socialization, Introductory Manners, and Obedience
This class focuses on teaching proper behaviors and preventing unwanted behaviors. It also teaches socialization and is an introduction to basic obedience.

Mind Your Manners

This class will target specific training skills designed to improve your dog’s behavior choices inside and outside.
We will include skills and strategies for better attention, leash manners, behavior around house guests, or household members, and overall reliability with new and existing cues.

Intro to Nosework

Intro to Nosework is an introductory session for dogs and handlers with no nosework experience.
In this initial session, you will begin teaching your dog to love searching and prepare him for finding the odor source. This activity is energy-expending, confidence-building, and offers great bonding opportunities, all while your dog gets to be a dog.

Criteria for Enrollment: Your dog/puppy must be at least five months of age and has no experience with or not yet working with odor. While your dog will not be socializing or interacting with other dogs, and we will make some use of visual barriers, instruction will be given in a class setting, so your dog must be reasonably comfortable with other dogs in some proximity.
Bring to Class: A piece of walking/working equipment different from whatever you use to walk your dog, a six-foot leash, and lots of small, soft, smelly treats, including table food (like cheese, chicken, hotdogs, etc.).

Beginner Nosework

This class is for dog-handler teams who have graduated to working on odor. Students will be introduced to the basics of working their dogs on order in a variety of search areas, including interior, exterior, containers, and the exterior of vehicles.

Intermediate, Advanced, and Competition Levels of Nosework

This class is for dog-handler teams who are searching for odor at competition levels in a variety of venues With coaching and instruction, students will encounter a variety of search challenges in order to increase their and their dogs’ scent work skills.
